The lake is a recreational hotspot throughout the year: bike paths and walking paths encircle the lake, canoeists and sailors hit the water during the summer, and ice fishermen and hockey players take to the frozen lake in the winter. The 2024 Olympics will utilize the lake as a venue for many of the freshwater-based events, from canoeing to marathon swimming. |
